No. Don't let that dealer touch your car. They don't know the first thing about it, if that is truly their official quote for a W204 4Matic. Run away.

I bought all the parts on my own, and I had the dealership do the job... I saved a bunch of money! I spent under $300 for everything, including the torque converter

That's because your car does not have an external/serviceable transfer case. If you service the transmission, the transfer case is serviced as well. Go anywhere else but your criminal/unethical dealer!

2010 C300
best price I found for a std tranny is $400. And that was at an Indy shop. only one dealer quoted $540 and honestly I wouldn't trust they'd do the TQ converter etc.

$520 after coupon at a MB dealer ...included extra oil for the torque coverter . Watched the mechanic do the job . Took about 4 hours . He took the car out for 2 test drives . Most of them will not do the TQ .. Took me 2 years to find a service rep that would do the TQ .. By then I had 60k on the car . Didn't know that the car had a sealed trans when I bought the car . You live , you learn .
