Car keeps dying, battery or alternator?

My 2010 C300 keeps on dying after it sits for a while. I put In the key, everything turns on inside the car. After I attempt to turn over the car, it makes no noise at all, no attempt to start.

I jump started it yesterday and let it ran for a while before turning it off again. Once I shut it off I tried to start it again and it fired up.

This morning same thing, dead again. Could this be an issue with the battery or alternator? Or worse? Could it have a drain?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I had the same issue with my C350 the other day. Called MB roadside assistance, battery was shot, couldn't take any charge.... Get a new battery...

If your alternator were bad, some warning light on the dash would tell you (once the car was running). Its likely the battery.

Dump this car and get a Lexus...the japs are building the most reliable cars on the planet. Don't believe me... look at the stats.

How much was your battery replacement cost?

Wondering if it is cheaper to have roadside change it or at dealership..

Per justthinking in this post: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...e-battery.html

"Local dealer want $90 labor for the swap and MB Roadside Assistance want $75 for the labor which seems excessive."

Alldata indicates a labor charge of 0.5 hours for Remove and Replace
