Another P2004 error code thread

Since my car registration renewal required a smog check, I dropped by my local smog check station yesterday. The guy hooked the car up to the his computer, and after it spat out error code "P2004", he told me I would have to get that resolved first otherwise the smog test would automatically fail. The odd thing though is that there hasn't been any accompanying check engine light.
I did some searching on here and found a couple of handy (but scary) threads relating to P2004 --
List of Benz specific error codes
This guy who got P2004 with a pressure sensor issue
This guy who got P2004 with an intake manifold throttle lever issue
Looks like I really have no recourse at this time but to take it into my MB indy to find out exactly which P2004 issue I have (since there are multiple P2004 error codes)? Also seems strange that I haven't gotten an accompanying check engine light.

Just got the issue fixed. It was the intake manifold throttle lever issue, as feared and suspected. About $250+ for the (metal) part and $360+ for labor (primarily removing the engine harness and manifold and putting it all back again).
