Lubricant spray question

Hello, I've had my 2012 C250 for a little over a year now and have been dealing with rattles and squeaks since I got it. Now, as the weather is getting colder, it's starting to get worse and becoming quite annoying. I almost don't want to drive it.

The most annoying rattle is the dash, around the speedometer area. I've pretty much tried everything I can think of, stuffing it with foam, etc. I've never used a spray, so today I bought some silicon spray.

Question, will the spray below be safe to use around the dash?

Personally, I would not spray anything in there. If the vehicle is under warranty, I would let them take care of it. If it's out of warranty, you can remove the cluster bezel and apply felt tape to the back side of it. Felt tape is your friend! I would apply it to the back side (in small sections) where the bezel contacts the cluster (out of sight).

Also, sometimes the chrome rings on the cluster squeak. Once you remove the bezel, use a hot glue gun and glue the chrome tabs to the bezel (on the back side, out of sight) Just be careful not to over due it and make sure it will go back together properly.

Thanks for replying!

That's actually what I've been wanting to do for the longest, but I have no idea how to safely remove the cluster bezel.

Have you checked the hood gasket near the windshield ? Sometimes these squeak and you'd swear it's coming from in the car..

Check this thread. This is what I did to remove all of my noise problems. This might help you locate the noise you are having.
