I couldn't find a direct answer in the search.

Will a 2012-2013 coupe grill fit a 2008-2009 sedan?

Yes it will fit,but you need to buy the plastic adaptor from coupe that holds the grill(if i remember well A2048851136), look at photo below

It appears the T-bar fits 2008-2013, so it should be the same?

No its not the same, its shorter you have to buy from coupe.

i have a coupe grill on my W204 and the T-Bar is different. But I actually found I didn't need the t-bar and have been without one for 2 years with no issues. But I will say it definitely doesn't hurt to have that extra security.
