Anyone else have a C250 that does a 2 second, 3 second max, growl/gurgle at start up?

I don't think anything is wrong, as mine has made this noise since I bought it (2 years, 20k miles ago). It's so low, in decibel and tone, that it's not recordable.

But it happens on warm start, sometimes cold, but it's just a low growl. Car runs perfectly, just had 20k service, no issues. All fluid levels fine (thought it might be coolant, but that's full).

Anyone have any idea? Thanks.

Hard for me to say, I've pretty much got a straight piped system so on cold starts she pops and snarls. Doesn't seem to be anything out of the ordinary.

Modified Armytrix Catless DP, straight mid pipe single resonator, Eisenmann Race Muffler.

Only on cold start, after the engine is warmed up it's not bad. It may be quieter soon as Hong Kong is starting to implement random emissions spot checks. I may have to add a high flow cat.

Well I like the sound.... Was just surprised that our little 1.8T could produce that noise

Truthfully it's all in the muffler, we ran the car mufflerless during the swap and it was still pretty quiet.
