Finally got it on. Took some trimming to seat properly in the groove at the top of the diffuser due to it being a bit thicker than the plastic one. Otherwise I can't seem to get it back off so is really on there lol.

The inside tab I used a torx screw into a threaded clip typically used on fender liners. As for the lower supports, I am either going to mod the factory ones like above, or make my own and bond them to the carbon with epoxy. Will grab some materials at work tomorrow and probably finish it Thursday.

Yup, no complaints. I ended up finishing the brackets that night and appear to be holding up well. Modified the stock ones and epoxied them to the backside of the diffuser.

Also ordered that single row grille tonight to keep the mods flowing. Windows tinted last weekend. Wife wants the wheels powder coated so am thinking a smoked graphite color. She's coming along nicely.

You have a pre-facelifted W204. You could either:

A. Just buy a pre-facelifted C63 rear diffuser and have big fins. (You can keep your current bumper)

B. Buy a whole new entire bumper with that rear diffuser shown in picture. (Have to buy a facelift rear bumper)

The reason why you would have to buy an entire bumper if you want to go route number 2 is due to yours being a prefacelift W204 and not a facelifted W204.

thanks for the reply. That really helps. I think I will go with route number 1. Any idea where I can but the right big fin diffuser? I been looking on eBay and all of them say that it doesn't fit on my car.

When you say "Big-Fin diffuser," are you referring to the C63 diffuser? Because the OEM C63 diffuser does not have big fins; it has fins but not big.

There are aftermarket ones that have big-fin diffusers like this if that is what you are referring to:

this one would be perfect 👌 Any idea where I can find it? And also would it fit on my bumper? I noticed that this picture you posted is an amg model.

Yes it will fit your non-AMG rear bumper. It is a direct swap of the rear diffuser; just make sure the seller has the brackets.

The seller is forum member "Phil Chow." He has had the diffuser for sale for about a month; the diffuser is carbon fiber.

I have no experience with them but I've heard they have good stuff.

I've owned both the large and small finned diffusers. Much happier with the large fin as it looks more aggressive...especially with the new cf deck lid.

Cf small fin + OEM deck lid

Current setup: CF big fin + CF mid rise deck lid
