2012 c250 - Any pics of front fascia plasti dipped?
So I think I'm done with the major exterior mods. Does anyone with a white facelift have the front fascia plasti dipped or painted? If so can you post pics ? That's the only thing I've debated doing....... What do you guys think?
I'd remove the front license plate if I didn't have to drive on base everyday.

That's a great photo. My car looks very similar to yours, but I have an OEM grille and clear side markers. I want to get a single slat grille, but the illuminated star will not fit the aftermarket ones, so I guess I'm looking for a coupe grille.
I've always thought about vinyl wrapping the front fascia like the C63, but I think I'll go for the full front-lip this summer.
it'll be alot harder to redo if you have a front lip
Nice! No plans for a front lip. The illuminated star looks awesome. . I've seen an illuminated star on a GLK here in my neighborhood and thought it looked tacky but I'm thinking otherwise now. Thanks for the pics. I'll think that'll be my last change for the car.
Jared - I also have the clear LED side markers but I kept getting error codes when Id turn the car on so they've been sitting in my garage since.
Just Plasti-Dip it. It super easy to do and very cheap. And if you don't like it a few months down the road just take it off.
i'm getting a new bumper/painting it. and i heard things about plasti dip and fresh paint/clear coat. so i did not want to take the change. I would recommend plasti dip but i want a gloss black and obviously plasti dip isn't good with gloss as well (yes i kno of glossifier).

Interesting info about plasti dip and clear coat. Wonder if that only affects cheap paint jobs.

i think its really affects newly painted parts that don't have enough time to fully cure or cheap paint jobs. I mean after repainting, you can't even wax the part till after 30 days. So imagine if you're putting plasti dip on a part you can't even wax yet. I'm gonna wait 30+ days for clear bra as well.
i mean i went to a place that specializes exotics (lambos) body work. most expensive place i could find and highly recommended by people. I just dont want to take the chance. lol paint/labor was double the price of the parts
there is always a chance. i saw a STI with clear coat ripped off. Thats why Dipyourcar added a disclaimer that it might hurt the paint your car to protect themselves.
Painting my grill is going to be a spring project for me. I've done it on other cars and plasti-dip works great. Looks like OEM black plastic when you're done. (Matte slightly textured surface.) The other thing I'm considering is wrapping the plastic part in 3m dinoc carbon fiber and leaving the chrome strips chrome. Since I have a black car I feel like I need a little differentiation in the grill, and I'm not going for a murdered out look.
