It depends a lot on the car. I think for the VIP or classy look, the chrome works well. But for a sporty look, like your car is aiming for, shadow (blacked out) out trim is better.

I just removed all my chrome and it was one of the best, easiest mods you can do. Use vinyl to cover up the chrome window trim. I used gloss black.

I think it's a matter of preference. Nobody can decide for you what looks best. I personally like chrome because of the look I am going for (vip/classy). The previous owner of my car actually de-chromed the whole car, and I had to get all the parts to chrome it back lol.

I think the chrome goes with your rims. If you black out the chrome, it will look unbalanced IMO.

I think the lower door trim is just plain useless and honestly tacky that it's just stuck to the side of the door. Rip it off. As for the window trim and such, I would say it depends on the wheels. The fact that you have polished wheels it looks consistent.

After having my roof wrapped black, I kind of wish I would have just had the shop do the trims now too. Plus I hate chrome in general. The machine face on our AMG wheels dries me nuts, I think I am going to coat them all black.

I vinyl wrapped all chrome on my 2010 C350. For my fog light chrome trim, I used plasti-dip.

You can try photoshopping your images too so you know how it will look before you do it. If you don't know how, someone here might be able to help you. I tried it with my phone app but it's hard to photoshop your images (even the ones in the w204 picture thread) since you have too many reflection going.

I removed all chrome on mine.

Grille, fog lights and lower door trims are all dipped, everything else is done in vinyl.

It's not too bad, a bit of patience and some hours will make a huge difference imo.

I'd remove those mirrors if they are red like they look in the photo and get some black ones.

I would consider this more than the removal of the chrome trim. Personally I dig the chrome.

The red is vinyl, I removed it. And removed the bottom chrome trim.
