I did a muffler delete while leaving everything else stock.
I was not happy with the results because of drone between 2.5/3K, heavy drone. and the sound does not get progressively louder in the higher revs.
I read in the forums, to leave the stock muffler, and do a secondary cat delete, and x pipe, and the results will be better.
Any insight is appreciated, thanks!

Stock exhaust systems aren't meant to be modified because they're designed to work as a full system. So the sound won't be the best cause it's not designed to make it better if you remove something.
Depending on what C-Class you have we can offer you some options for mufflers, and it'll make it sound much better for you.

Do what i did, magnaflow xpipe with magnaflow performance mufflers! Sound great with no backpressure loss and barely any drone (cant even hear it when music is on)

I went with xpipe instead of resonators and then muffler. Super clean sound. It's a good daily until 2.5k but a beast anything more. I would recommend getting an magma flow xpipe and getting that installed. The xpipe really kicks in around 4.5k rpm all the way until red line.
