C250 Issue, HELP PLEASE!
Hey guys, I got myself a 2010 C250 4Matic last year. Last night, the battery of the car died and I starting receiving the following: SRS Malfunction Service Required" and the car would not start. This morning I gave it another try, and the car started after a couple of attempts. However, now the problem seems to be something else. My climate control module is not receiving any power... On top of that, the cooling fan of the car is running on high ALL THE TIME when the car is started... Do you guys know what could the problem be?

I can't remember the name. It's the thermostat module. It will need to be brought to the dealership in order to get the part programmed, unless you have someone that has the equipment to set it up.
In my case, battery was the caused. I would strongly recommend to not jump starting these cars. Second, repace the battery instead of taking the risk of frying another module.

Issue resolved
in my situation the AC Control Unit was fried. Missing signal from this unit was causing a radiator fan to run on high. I purchased used AC Control Unit with the same part number and SW(software version)and HW(hardware version) as the original one. No programming was required. All came back to normal. Saved a lot of money comparing with dealer prices.

Auxiliary battery
Hey beanr,
Never thought about the shelf life thing I read
Somewhere that it’s supposed to charge back and
Forth so to speak.
I was so glad to get it installed
i had had wierd quirky things going on with my car and auxiliary battery popped up in my info gauge I became concerned and started research via google and YouTube
my battery is right next to the drivers door inside
the dashboard near the hood release
installed the cabin filter opposite side several weeks back I’ve also replaced air filters spark plugs front brake pads
feels great saving all that money
but I never experienced and malfunction messages just popped it in
so good so far
hope this helps

Ok. I found a strange thing with the transmission. Ever it goes to limp mode, if look for a slope where I can stop the car with "nose"down position where the front is lower than the back, and then when I restart it, it would not be in limp mode.
any idea why this is happening?
I remember seeing a little float thingy when cleaning the conductor plate. Does this have anything to do with it?
Thanks heaps

You can boost from another vehicle, just make sure to shut it off first. If it's not running it's the same as using a battery, which is recommended by MB.
