Brake Pad Wear Sensor - How Many?

Greetings all: Getting ready to do the rear brakes (pads/rotors) - 2008 model car has about 65k on the clock, and as is common the rears are going away first. The parts are on order - all except the brake pad wear sensor(s). I think that the sensor(s) can be re-used if the warning light has not come on (which it has not), but I'm going to put in new anyway. The big question is: How many brake pad wear sensors are in the rear? I have read one per axle, and one parts supplier claims that there are two. Which is it? Thanks in advance!

some of the older models had them on all 4 corners but now the modern ones are only on the passenger side. 1 front 1 rear is what you have. and yes you can reuse if the light hasnt come on.

On my car there were only sensors on the right side wheels.

the question has already been answered. 1 sensor per axle and they can be re used if the light hasnt come on yet.

It seems there are variations over the years. My 2012 only had 2 sensors 1 front and 1 back driver side.
