Hi guys,

About to purchase a 2010 C300 with 45K miles

Price is $17,000.

Are there any major issues known to these fine cars?

I plan on trading in my Mazda 3 with 54K miles.

Should I negotiate the price down further?

if it doesn't have the transmission service done id run lol look for maintenance records if its not from a dealer ask them where they got it done and check it out yourself and you should always negotiate on the price. get a car fax also thats a must

Make sure you don't hear any whine at ALL coming from the front end, it usually means eminent transmission failure. Check the oil a few times to make sure is been changed. Also make sure the car steering lock unlocks seamlessly when you put in the key and that it cranks with no issues. Of course, the obvious stuff such as maintenance record, fluids, no incident on CarFax, etc.

If there isn't proof that the transmission flush was done at ~40k miles I would insist they do it prior to delivery.

make sure they don't miss the torque converter with that service common step missed
