E63S AMG Wagon 2016 M157 32K RENNtech Stage 1, 93 octane tune. Most obvious drivability improvement: No more lag and surge from stop in Comfort mode. It just Goes!

2014 E63S
Disconnected yes, e63s, 32k, s2 tune and other mods. Only drove it for 100 miles before it was put away for winter. Only thing I noticed during That period was a more free revving motor, lag from stop significantly went down and on highway less effort/throttle needed to get going

This will collect the raw data and plot it in fun ways so we can actually observe the data rather than have to comb a thread.

Great! Thanks.

Now we need to point everyone to your Form to complete the survey.

EDIT: Ugh! You already did. I have short-term memory problems.

I can add it to the original post but the FAQ needs to be first.

2014 E63S ECC stage 1 tune with TCU tune. Noticed less lag overall, smoother and quieter idle and smoother performance overall.

@kevm14 the FAQ is super helpful thank you for listing that....one FAQ maybe to add that I think will help guys to not get into trouble is about NOT re-connecting after you unplug for a lengthy period of time. There doesn't seem to be any reason one would even want to re-connect it, but as these cars get sold/passed on am sure some un-informed owner or mechanic could see it unplugged and think its a cause for concern and proceed to reconnect it. Not sure we can help them in those cases unless they see your FAQ here....

Hello from Hungary!
Just disconnected the plug on my 14' E63S and everything is nice after 100 km for now.
Happy Holidays!

Asking for a friend here, me and my friend are considering this mod (I am likely to do it next time I find time to jack up my car, mines a daily driver), my friend will likely do it as well although his is a weekend car.

I don't mind having it disconnected and leaving it unplugged for the reasons you state and my car is out of warranty.

My friend's car on the other hand, is in warranty, you stated that we should not reconnect the oil pump solenoid after a lengthy period of time, may I ask why? I tried looking for clues to this question but I might had missed it or something or it is so obvious I shouldn't had asked. In case, lets say the dealership or his mechanic reconnects it. Thanks.

2014 e63s 65k miles. Disconnected and tucked connector. No noticeable differences in the vehicle. Runs the same. Connector was full of oil. Running in the form for 3k miles. No issues. Only soft code in ecu.

Then it was good to disconnect the wiring so as to hopefully stop any damaging oil infiltration into the wiring harness!

which reminds me that even if people don't disconnect the connector they should strongly consider adding a wire harness extension to mitigate oil creep - similar to the cps and magnets

Yep, the would use the 2 pin connectors. But, I think they are only sold in groups of 4. BUT...buy 4 and sell the other 3 to folks here.
