Need help from 2013-2014 W204 owner with Star
Hi,
I am looking to update my 2012's instrument cluster to the 2013+ silver design, but I am not sure which CFFs to flash in Vediamo. If one of you guys have a 2013+ W204 and a Star, could you pleaseee look at your current software settings for me?
Attached is a picture of the numbers I am looking for from a 2013+
Preferably your car would only be equipped with Attention Assist as I don't have Blind Spot, Lane Keeping or Distronic so that file would be a different file for me, but I'll take any and just play around.
To get there all you have to do is go to Vediamo -> open ECU "IC_204" and open the Flash station. The numbers I need are those with the red rectangle around it.
Thanks.

I would be weary of flashing with cff files not applicable to your cluster. You can ruin it! Usually to add other features you would need to change the variant coding not flash it. Good luck

Actually is is very hard to ruin your instrument cluster by just flashing it CFFs. I flashed over 20 wrong IC_204 CFFs trying to guess the correct files which is pretty difficult. All you get is messages about how it is not programmed correctly. I couldn't find the correct combination since you need like 4-5 in total to match, so I just used the screenshot of my originals to flash them back and return to default beige IC.
Now if you flash a HU45 CFF into the IC_204 that might brick it, but who would?

Interesting. What are u trying to achieve by flashing it exactly? If you know the part number of the cluster you want to update to you can compare it to the relevant cff files in xentry

I want the color on my 2012 cluster to update to the color of the 2013
The part numbers should be the same, but in any case, the important part should be the software number. If I can get all the software numbers off a 2013 with Attention Assist only, then I should be able to do the upgrade in the same manner that I upgraded my 2012 beige head-unit to the 2013 look. I am not updating with Xentry, Xentry won't let you update past your model year in this case 2012 beige, I am using Vediamo to flash the files directly into the cluster.

The CFF's for IC_204 come from Xentry install, under SDFlash folder you will find most CFF's zipped. I did not actually find the IC_204 CFF's on my 04/2015 Xentry version so I got it off 07/2014.

I have had my IC and HU updated for a year now since Feb 2016, it looks great. You can use the AMG software?? Let me know the #'s and a picture of how it looks.

AMG software is only doable by programming an EEPROM in the IC and is not dependent on the software versions.

The AMG cluster is not dependent on CFFs of software versions in the IC. It is locked into the EEPROM code on the IC. You can desolder the EEPROM and program it with an AMG version to achieve what you want, but you will need to know what you are doing, as it contains the mileage as well. If you flash it with an EEPROM that has a higher mileage value, this will download to the EZS and raise the mileage on your car.
