rear springs removal question

Hi,
I am my h&r springs and plan to replace them soon.
Front are no brainer, back on the other hand I'm not clear where to support to be able to compress the spring.
Is it where the red arrow is on the pic below or all the way to the right?
Thank you

Put your jack directly under the bolt with the yellow circle. That's where I did mine and was perfectly stable. Lower or raise as needed to remove or install spring.

Thank you. I will go that way.
Did you remove the rear tire?

you don't have to remove your rear tires, but it'll give you more room to work if you do.

Ok, removing the tires shouldn't be a problem. I will anyways as I am replacing the ebrake clips that make rattling noise and painting , calipers.
I have a lift in my garage so things are so much easier to do than on the ground.

Ok, I'm knee deep into the rear springs.
Nut removed but can someone tell me what size and type is the head of the bolt highlighted in yellow above.
Also, I can remove the exhaust on the left hand side as it has bracket but the right side doesn't have it and it seems I need to disconnect the exhaust from the mid of the car, is this the case?
Removing those gromets is a nightmare

U shouldn't have to remove the exhaust. Yes it's a little tight but I was able to get the bolt out and past the pipe to remove

Got the left one out.
As many of the members before I installed h&r sport and 17mm pads so the back doesn't "look" too low.
When I compared them on the ground the h&r actually look bigger.

I would know once I installed the tires and drop I on the ground

Ok, now I'm getting to be seriously concerned.
The rear were bigger than the factory and the front are significantly smaller.
should I be worried?

I hope to have it completed tomorrow.

No, stiffness plays a big factor, just go with it. See what it looks like!

The rear spring possibly looks dual rate. Is half the coils closer together then the other half. Maybe they are meant to be very close together, not necessarily touching like non active would but close together. ? If that's the case it will drop properly.
