All of sudden I got check engine light.
What I've changed is spark plugs with Denso irridium at 0.044 as recommended by Denso for this vehicle.
That was saturday.
It is rainy and humid today.

Is there anyway to retrieve codes without obd schanner?

I've had my light come on twice. Both times it was the gas cap.


I would just get an OBD scanner. You can get one for ~20 bucks on amazon with either BT or wifi and download an app for another 10 or so and you can diagnose and if needed erase the codes. Then you'll always have it for any vehicle going forward as well.

If I were to guess it sounds like you need to double check that all the intake tubes are seated properly.

 

I got out and when I lift the hood I can hear hissing sounds. Investigation continues

 

It says 1 of 3, are there 2 more codes?

 

Problemo solved.
All three codes were saying the same.

Here is the story.
In an effort not to remove that one time use clip, see pics and as per instructions I lifted the air box upwards which as a result misaligned the plenum and the box was sitting slightly higher creating tiny gap where air was going through.

This time I removed the clip and aligned everything properly.
If I get new clip seems I need special tool to install it, I might buy just regular clamp.

Any suggestions?
