Aftermaket Projector Headlights Problem - Fast Blinking
Hello all!
I recently bought aftermarket projector headlights.
Headlights:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/361494769538?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
All functions are working besides when headlights are on via switch or turn on automatically at night the turn signal LED strip start doing a fast blink. The amber turn signal works but once back to normal running mode they continue to flash extremely fast.
I noticed there are more pins in the aftermarket headlight (8 pin) compared to stock 5 pins.
Looked into resistors and all other options possible but stuck right now!
Anyone have experience with these headlights? They seem to be the same as Depo and the sticker on side of box said Spyder...
Please help!

You need to have a resistor in between the led and factory harness ... Led lights run at a lower voltage and throws the system off .. The resistor makes up for the low voltage

Hyperflashing is intended to let the driver know that one of the signal bulbs has burned out. There should also be an error on your dash. What Crimzon said is correct. The LED draws such little current that the ECU still thinks that there is no bulb. Installing a resistor between the LED and the harness will correct it, but be careful that you do not cheap out and buy the proper ones with the proper voltage and amperage ratings for the headlights. Installing the wrong ones can melt your headlights, burn out LED's, or overheat. Also be careful where you mount the resistor as it can get very hot and melt things. I would mount it somewhere on the frame away from other wires and plastic components.

So I'm actually having a similar issue and hoping someone can help...
I bought DEPO headlights from Unique Style Racing (.com) and I upgraded to the Bi-xenon HID setup with 10K bulbs...
Everything was fine until recently when the temperature changed....
Now that it is cold, neither headlight turns on regardless of setting...
So I bought 3 different brand replacement bulbs and components -- and all 3 resulted in same thing - lights only kick on randomly if it's cold -- I can have car running on highway, pull over, turn lights off, then on again, but they won't kick on....
I then sit for sometimes over 20 minutes before they come back on and even then its iffy....
I went to the manufacturer and they sent me a new canbus module - but I'm still having same issue...
At this point, I'm giving up completely on HID so i can try LED....
Any input from anyone???
Please help....

I'm inclined to say that it's your wiring. Don't use those quicksplice clamps or anything like that. Actually cut, solder, and heat shrink the proper way to the factory harness.

I would agree with you that it might be wiring -- except that I installed in May and they have had zero issues until only last few weeks as temp is now dipping below 40 at night....
When it's warm out in the day - I can turn them on now issues first try....

Idk what to tell you then other than throw parts at it. Buy new igniters and put them in, see if it continues. If its just the bulb doing it, it could be the igniter or the connection from the plug to the bulb.
, pins could be corroded. Could also be the wire to the plug that goes to your bulb. You never know with aftermarket. I would return them and buy oem, or go with the led route.

Where did you order your LED headlights from? Today was brutally cold and my headlights went out. Emailed USR to see if there is some kind of warranty on them since its only been like 6 months since I installed them

Same question. Been looking at upgrading my factory halogens and just looking at the best and most reliable options. Please let us know!

Not looking to change just the light, but the housing as a whole to get the amg look. Something like this (linked below) just want to see if anybody has bought this particular housing and would like to share their experience.
