2014 C250 coming up on warranty expiration. Extended Warranty worth it?
I purchased our 2014 C250 back in November of 2013 off the showroom floor and it has been absolutely flawless for us. I've never had one bit of trouble out of it and even performed some mods to it. My wife took the car over when I bought my 14 Cayman S which has since been replace by our newer 2015 C63S Edition 1.
The car now has around 48k miles and we're planning on keeping it for another year or two at least. I've priced out a 24 month 24k mile warranty that covers basically everything at around $2500 through my dealership here in Atlanta where I work which is near cost.
Does anyone have any experience with these cars out of warranty or have had any higher mile known issues show up? Like I said, it's been problem free but I wanted to get some feedback from our community to help us make a decision in regards to extending the warranty.
Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Think of it in terms of actual fixes. I would say it's 100% worth it. If the transmission were to go for example you are looking at like $10k+. If the ESL goes that is also $3kish.

2012s+ really don't have many issues. I have had my 12 for almost two years, spent $1600 in the 2 year warranty extension and It has probably covered $200-400 in repairs.

2010+ ESL is super rare, 2013+ transmission problems are rare-ish (way more rare for the 14 than the 13)
If you're only gonna keep it for another year or two I don't think its worth it. Plus its not 'high mileage' really so you'd prolly be ok imo.

First of all I purchased a 2 year unlimited warranty for $1968 from Jeff Jackson, Finance Director, Tafel Motors 4156 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40207 (502)896-4411 ext .1246. The warranty paid off recently, my HVAC blower went, and the motor for the shade on my pano roof. Considering you never know what might go wrong it's a safe bet. And because it is a Mercedes warranty my dealership had no problem honoring it.

I am guessing you kept up all the maintenance while you had it under warranty. If so, it is pretty well sorted by now. If you are only going to keep it for another year or so, I would take that gamble that you won't have $2K in repairs or something catastrophic happening. That mileage is nothing. But everyone is different and if your comfort level is with a warranty, go for it. No right or wrong answer.

I'm having the same dilemma with my 2014 C350. I have 39k miles, warranty good through this October. Car has been trouble free. I've been looking at aftermarket exclusionary warranties, I have an offer on the table of $2700 for an additional 4 years or additional 75k miles (so coverage until 114000). It seems like a good deal, but these cars by 2013-2014 were pretty well sorted. If I had the 4 cylinder with that single timing chain, I would probably not be able to pass it up.
Which dealership do you work for? Understood if you can't disclose.. just curious. I have used RBM quite a bit, they've been good.
