90k miles and still need a transmission fluid change?

Hello!

So, I was going through the car fax on my 2009 C63 AMG 507 and noticed that the only owner did a whole b service which included the transmission fluid change at 43k miles on it.
Now my B service came up and they have to do the transmission fluid again?
Also, when doing the tranny fluid. They don't have to mess with my oil change right??

Please some one shine some light on this because it's going to suck if I have to pay for the transmission fluid change.

You are correct, unless you have more than 5-7,000 miles on the oil or the recommendation for your driving style!

Okay but do I need to do my transmission fluid change even though it was done at 40k miles? The car has 90k now .. and service b is due which includes that transmission fluid change..

I'd do it for sure if it has been 50,000 miles since a transmission fluid change. Better safe than sorry especially when dealing with these transmissions.

Check your fluid. Is it really dirty?

I just did mine at 71,000 kilometers and will do so again for peace of mind in about 3 years at about 95,000 kilometers.

Just a clarification for the poster - Service B doesn't always mean a transmission flush is necessary, unless it is recommended by your model's maintenance schedule. The transmission service is technically separate from the standard Service B.

Okay, that's all I wanted to know so forsure I'll do it then. Because if the last maintenance one was done around 40k forsure it should need it right? And how do you check the oil? I think you can't check it ...

You need to buy a transmission dip stick to check. None is included with the car.

It looks something like this:

Okay so now I'm confused lol so what should I do? What would you do if you had a 09 C63 AMG and have in record that the service B3 was done at 40k miles and it has 90k now would you do that service? Becouse the dealer told me they where doing that when I asked what is service b .. this gives me a headache lol

Where do you dip it in too though? I heard it's different for this type of car

Sorry, just noticed the C63 part. I am unsure where your tranny dipstick tube would be then or if you have one.

There is no dipstick on a 722.9, the fluid is filled/checked through the bottom of the pan.

If you have over 40k on this oil, why wouldn't you change it? I don't get the hesitation, you make it sound like it was done so you shouldn't have to do it, it's every 40k on the M157 cars.

Okay good!
Just because dealer said if they did it at 40k you don't have to do it again?? Lol so I didn't know I didn't want to spend the money and then I didn't have to but I set my mind to yes since couple comments back just asking questions now that's all . Thanks im having this done Monday .

1) You posted in the wrong forum
2) You don't have a "2009 C63 AMG 507"
3) If you truly get a headache from understanding that because a service was done once, it doesn't mean it doesn't need to be done again, maybe let the Service Adviser at your dealer make these types of decisions for you.

Why is it so complicated? The service for the AMG is the same as the standard C Class. It should be done every 40k and last should hav been at 80k

1) It is, but there is an AMG-specific forum here: https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w204-93/
2) The 507 edition was only available for the 2014 MY, so someone probably wasn't honest to you when you bought the car. A tune doesn't make your car a 507 edition, but if your car did indeed have a tune (somewhat unlikely), it would perform similarly to a 507 edition.
3) He wasn't being a douche bag. You'd probably receive a similar response in the C63 forum. Your service advisor is perfect person to ask these types of questions, but it's weird that he said you don't need the transmission service done again. Get it done again.

Thanks for routing me that way! Thanks mistake on my part .. and yes I probably got scammed but the price was fine so not bad.. and I put it on a dyno three days after I got it and I'm in Colorado and it was pushing 487hp with 445trq around there so we though it was 507 cuz of the fake badge they had on it.. thanks for facts man!

Oh and exactly ! It was a younger dude usually it's this 50 year old guy that I go see for parts but this time it was him and when I asked does that include my transmission service he said it shows it was done at 38k so doesn't need it.. I'm like okay? And I didn't want to get in an argument cuz I though hey that's the tech he knows more than me right?

It's possible that your car has the performance package (P30 or P31 depending on the year, I think), which adds additional horsepower. Either way, you should look into a tune! Like from Eurocharged, Weistec, or OE Tuning.

I sure will I wish there was a way to know what tune my car had so I can go through them but I don't know how to find that out.. I've raced other c63 and it's faster than the stock 451hp .. i will forsure go with a tune after my tranny from OE and Weistec who do you recommend .. ?
