Okay I've tried the search bar and really couldn't find a definite answer so I'll just ask this question real quick. I plan to get gunmetal rims eventually and I have a tenorite gray sedan. What color side markers look best. I want opinions so does clear or smoked look the best with those colors or should I just buy vinyl wrap and color match and just be prepared to get it taken off when it comes to inspection? Help would be great! Thanks!

I saw an Audi A8 documentary thing last night. Apparently in the US, the sidemarker has to be yellow. I'm not sure if the presenter was 100% right but thought that was worth mentioning, at least from a legal perspective.

sidemarkers for the front have to be orange, the rear red.

and it is illegal to change them

but unless you live in california no one gives a sh*t.

I would try plasti dip smoke over them.

Why not try to vinyl wrap them color matched to your car? I wrapped mine in gloss black, and it is almost like they aren't even there.

I just don't know where I can get the vinyl wrap from that'll be a good color match... Any suggestions?

Clear lens with amber led's look good. Vinyl wrap would just cancel having them wouldn't it?

Here's clear Depo lenses with amber chrome 194 wedge bulbs on my Tectite Grey W211.

Google vinyl shops in your area. I have like 4 in a 15 minute drive. They all carry samples you can hold next to the car. It's simple.

i changed amber side markers on my 210 to clear/fresnel and replaced the
halogen bulb with an amber bulb. the turn signal within my headlight is typically
amber but I replaced them with silver/mirrored coated which lights up amber.
this eliminates the egg yolk look inside the headlight housing.

I have white so mines a bit harder to do than black...I had some extra plasti dip laying around so I gave it a shot...will make a "build thread" even though I have like 0 mods, it will be more of a discussion thread for me and I will post pics and see what people say. Its not a 100% color match obv.

My problem with the dip was it doesn't typically show evenly with the light on at night. The vinyl is a nice even light release. Also the vinyl was only $5 and 30 minutes.

My light output is pretty even, will post pics eventually in the thread. Still idk how i feel with superwhite on it. Cleaner than orange though!
