2012 C250 Coupe
will a W204 sedan rocker panel fit on a coupe?

I have a 2012 c250 coupe with the amg styling package.

My passenger side rocker panel (aka side skirt) got taken our by a huge rock on the highway recently.

As ive been doing research to find out how to fix it ive noticed some confusing things regarding this part. Mercedes tells me that the rocker panels for the sedans are different than the coupes ( they have different part numbers and whatnot). They even tell me they are different sizes.

Heres where the confusion starts. Ive measured the sideskirt on 4 different c class sedans 08-14 with the same amg styling package and the dimensions are identical.

The reason i even ask is because the rocker panels for the sedans are abundant and cheap, however the coupe ones are hard to find and expensive (relatively)

tl:dr will the rocker panels (side skirts) on a sedan fit on my coupe?

Can you please explain? The panel goes on the bottom of the car. The panel length from wheel to wheel is the same on the coupe as on the sedan.

Seconded. I'm just imagining the length from the A pillar to the B pillar, and just staring at the photo between the coupe vs the sedan, I don't think the length between A->B for the front doors is the same so I agree with the resident Doctor here that they are most likely a different design.

Ive measured the length and height of both sideskirts and the dimensions are identical. I thought the same thing but upon actually measuring both im at a loss for what the difference could be if any.

Maybe it is the mounting points are different. See if you could find a picture of both part numbers and see what teh back of them look like.

Would call dealer parts department and give them your vin. They can tell you it the parts are different between coupe and sedan. You can then order the part from a place like parts.com or pelican parts. You will then need to get the part painted to match your car.

Ive spoken to multiple mercedes dealerships. All of them have told me that the coupe and the sedan rocker panels are different. When i ask them whats different about them they seem to have no idea other than the fact that they have different part numbers. When i tell them ive measured both and the dimensions are the same, they tell me its my prerogative if i want to try to fit the sedan panel saying it may or may not fit.

There is no no concrete answer to my question from mercedes which is why i posted on these forums.

I just went through the same issue, I bought sedan side skirts for my coupe after messing one up. Unfortunately they are different, the difference is in the way they mount to the car, nothing lines up. The clips on the skirt are out of alignment with the attachment points on the car.

Thats extremely helpful! Thank you for your input. Do you happen to know any more details that might help me out in finding a used one?

The sedan one seems to have 6 holes for the clips and the coupe has 5 holes
