New Member - collision repair
Hi, I'm a new member and I found this site while I was looking for some information regarding collision repair. I have a 2009 C300 4matic, yesterday evening I swerved to miss another car and hit the concrete barrier. Trying to see how much the damage may cost. It's dented pretty go on the driver's side rear. I attached some pics below.

You are looking at $6-7k easily in that one. You will need a new door panel, quarter panel and if the bumper clips are not intact a new bumper as well. Maybe an alignment is also needed.
Claim it in your insurance.

Going to be expensive. Minimum 7-8. Wheel also damaged. Could have suspension issues. May increase as they take her apart.

I hope you have insurance.

Ouch.
I just had a very small hit and run. A 3" long crease in my rear drivers fender lip and very minimal scratches. hardly even noticeable and nothing even down to the metal. I was probably scraped by some old ladie's bumper.

To the OP make sure you bring your car to a body shop that works on MBs and not to a regular uncle Joe's shop.

Yes it is repairable but the amount of work involved in pulling, pushing, grinding and making it smooth will be way more expensive (labour wise) than just replacing it with a new one (happened with my car).

I agree with the notion that the you should take the vehicle to a MB Certified Collision Center. Be aware, however, Certified Collision Centers are nonexistent in many states. Hopefully you are aware that "Joe's" or Bubba's shop may overlook a certain type of damage.
