Did Kleeman ECU Flash

just got my flashed ECU back from Kleeman on my 2014 C300 4matic and it was absolutely worth it. Drives like a different car. Throttle response is way quicker and car off the line is a different car. Highly recommend it. Turnaround was great they got it in morning sent it out that afternoon and i got it back next day.

How's your gas mileage?

EDIT: Also, it looks like they claim to bring the engine up to the same power level as a 350 with the ecu upgrade. Does it feel like a significant power gain?

been driving it like i stole it so to early to tell once i start driving it normal again i will update you. And yes significant upgrade they actually tune it with more horsepower than 350 especially if you use at least 93 octane

Really wonder if its worth getting a tune. After I got a Sprintbooster, it really fixed the throttle response and lag which I have a feeling is what most tunes do for twice the price..

I've got both Sprint Booster and Eurocharged ECU tune on my E500 and they complement each other nicely.
Go for it and you won't be disappointed - makes the car much more driveable.

Squeezing more power from the engine leads to excessive wear on all parts of the engine... therefore to repairs.

Lol obviously I know that, back when I had a mustang and installed an email tune, the fuel ratios where all over the place, he had to adjust it multiple times to make it a decent tune because its email tunes.. Same thing now with the tunes available with these cars but this time I dont have a fuel ratio gauge to check if the tune is doing good..

Im just wondering if most people just feel the throttle response improvement and the power gain is so small you cant feel it but since the throttle response is better, people think they have more power.

The engine is a de-tuned C350 motor, so it should be just fine.

I agree that that throttle response is not more horsepower, too. The newest TCU update eliminates the the throttle lag. It’s almost like getting a tune. If you haven’t had the update, go get it. Best thing I’ve had done with the car.

Mine was warranty, so I don’t know the actual cost. I was told TCU. It literally drives like a different car. No lag. Again, highly recommended.

Welcome to the Kleeman Club Laxpower87!!

Told you it was worth it!! Like driving a different car. I don't know if your car has shift paddles on the column or not. Mine doesn't. Even with the "Sport" button pushed, I never realized how anemic the transmission was until I put it in manual mode. It's like the car takes off from a stop in second gear even in sport mode. In manual mode, it's noticeably faster as it starts in first gear. It REALLY scoots!! I wish this car had paddle shifters and a "Sport +" mode to make the shifts faster.

It feels like a forced aspirated car that has been tuned. Unbelievable power increase for a normally aspirated car. Stock 248 HP. Was told that I would be about 320 HP (I'm tuned for 94 octane gas). I bet it's noticeably more than that. Feels stronger than a 320 HP car!

What happens if the dealership updates you ecu for some reason? Do you lose the tune?

depends on what kind of updating. But you send it back and they redo it for $150.

How did you manage to obtain manual mode? If you don't have the shift paddles, it means you wouldn't have the manual mode stock. How did you enable it? Does the Kleemann ECU tune give you manual mode?

No, just shifting manually by toggling the shift lever side to side. Although it's not a full manual mode with paddle shifters, it's an improvement over the automatic mode.

Oh ok I see. Did the Kleemann tune make the upshift/downshift faster too? I'm thinking of getting the Kleemann ECU tune as well since Cory said they can program in the exhaust crackle/pop similar to the new W205 C43 amg's.

The tune didn't seem to change anything regarding the shifting characteristics of the transmission. It just shifts through the gears faster than before (car is noticeably faster).

did you try any 0-60 runs to notice any significant change from the stock? I hope the throttle response difference doesn’t make you think it has more power.

yeah That’s what kleemanns been claiming and don’t get me wrong I’m hopeful it’s tru!! When you do get a chance try some runs around your area and let me know if you feel any crazy pulls on the engine. I want to get this tune ASAP.
