Reprogramming of 2006 ML 350 Rear Sam Module
Rear Sam Module for 2006 ML 350 receive extensive water damage, found one of same vehicle make and model with same part number, need to know does it need recoding and or reprogramming. Everything still working good except, no rear lights, no tail gate lock, gas gauge, wipers, and the sockets use for charging phones, etc. Drives good.

Should be posted in the correct forum, this is the w204 C class section.
But yes, you should have it SCN coded to your vehicle. Same part # could still be programmed differently, and may result in things not working or false error messages if that is the case. All those things you mentioned are controlled by the rear SAM, the front seats as well on some of them. Once you replace it with a working unit you should get all the functions back. Hopefully you corrected the water leak.
