Here's the MB data card; says Premium Surround System (Code 810) which is typically the Harmon Kardon system in the w204. I believe the Burmester 3D surround sound system arrived in the W205, not sure.

No it doesn't. The option code is not listed for the VIN when I decoded it, but yes it has the premium Harmon Kardon sound system.

It also has: rear-view camera, ACTIVE BLIND SPOT ASSIST, ACTIVE LANE KEEPING ASSIST, REAR ROLLER BLIND, FRONT HEATED SEATS, COMAND.

She is a true beauty! Especially in that color. I'm not sure how good the price is, but I'm drooling over it. I searched for my car for 1 year and still couldn't find a low-mileage one in this silver so had to pull the trigger on one in Magnetite Black Metallic.

The fact that the car has headlight washers but standard halogen headlights is odd to me.

 

After decoding the VIN, it's clear that the car did not come from the factory with Xenon headlights, which is the oddest thing to me in Mercedes Benz. Xenon headlights must be standard on an AMG car worth sooo much money. I mean come on Mercedes! You can't nickel and dime everything!

 

Dammit! I didn't even notice this. This car is looking less and less attractive to me.

 

So it shouldn't have headlight washers then unless the bumper was replaced.

 

Don't quote me on this, but I remember reading somewhere online that AMGs or other models did have the washer cutouts yet they came with halogens. I know it doesn't make sense but I remember reading that somewhere.

 

I know that the C350 sport has 4 different front bumpers: w/o Parktronic w/o washers; w/ Parktronic w/o washers; w/o Parktronic w/ washers; w/ Parktronic w/ washers

I believe it's the same for the AMG model and things may have changed for the facelift to save money making only 2 bumpers instead.

Eitherway I hate them. It's such a pointless regulatory requirement. Over in Europe any car that came with Xenon headlights was required to be fitted with either wipers or washers. So that option was brought over to the US as a luxury feature. The logic was that dirt accumulated on the headlight lenses would "dazzle" oncoming drivers more than halogen lights. Except now cars with LED or Laser headlights are available in Europe, which are arguably much brighter, yet none of them have washer systems. It's a European thing because other brands from other markets only installed washers on cars headed to Europe and didn't offer it anywhere else.

I've been mulling over the idea of getting a bumper without washer and without side marker holes and disabling the secondary pump.

 

My EU-spec CLK 320 has that option since it has Xenon and honestly, it's the most useless option on the car. I never use the washers because they really make a mess of the entire front of the car where the water and soap spray over the hood too and drip into the bumper.... just a mess!

 

Every 10 times you use your windshield wiper spray, the headlight spray activates. As far as I remember.

Price is reasonable. Maybe -1 or 2k imo.

If you are not liking it now, then don't impulse buy and hate it the rest of your ownership. Especially since sounds like you might be buying sight unseen.

Just a heads up OP, this C63 does not have a LSD. Not a deal breaker, you could always swap in a Quaife LSD if you preferred... just thought I'd mention it.

$35k is decent given the options and mileage. Being that it doesn't have an LSD, I'd factor in the cost of a Quaife LSD to install, ~$1300-$2500 depending on if you DIY or bring it to a shop. But if you do not plan on having a LSD, then $35k is a decent price for the car. Adding the cost of the Quaife, I'd say the car is at market price right now at $37-38k. Also, a few concerns from quickly glancing at the pics: Steering wheel has a cheap carbon fiber wrap on it, also the leather has been replaced with carbon fiber lookalike pleather? Additionally, the front passenger rotor looks a bit worn. You should probably have the dealership inspect the brakes before purchasing it... P31 rotors are not cheap. I always recommend getting a PPI before buying a car, just to have some re-assurance when buying the car. Lastly, there is some curb rash on the passenger front wheel, right below the tire stem. Just a few points if you'd like to haggle the price a bit before pulling the trigger.

 

Wow very keen eye.. they said the steering wheel is legitimate carbon fiber, and the previous owner had put it in.

I had told them I won't be buying the car until an official Mercedes dealer completes an inspection. I have to look into the other stuff you mentioned. Appreciate the detailed look.

 

It's real carbon fiber and Alcantara, but the Alcantara is VERY worn.
