Installing lights for a trailer hitch

Hello,

I have a 2008 C300 that has a trailer hitch, but no connector for the trailer lights (break, turn signal, etc.). I was wondering if there is an guidance to help me install. Thanks!

You’ll probably have to splice into your wires for your car since there isn’t one? What are you plannng in towing?

Thanks! A small trailer (less than 2000 lb capacity) to haul building materials from Home Depot. I already installed the hitch (Curt), but have not done the lights yet. I purchased a kit from Curt which has not arrived yet.

If it was me and a one time hail. I’d just do it without the lights if it’s during the day. I wouldn’t want to splice into my wireing just to use a hitch once. Or rent a truck. Can probably do that for like $50. Just throwing options there if this is one of the few times you play. To trailer with the car.

Hi,
My best advise is buy one of these Jaeger kits as seen in an earlier post I made.
