Timing chain!!!
Has anyone replace their timing chain yet what's the cost. I find it funny my 2010 Chevy Colorado needs one it's ****ing 3K!!! 15 hours of labour 300-500 in parts!!!!
I think it costs more than a Mercedes repair hahaha
I was curious on what the labour cost would be on a Mercedes and if anyone as done this repair.

I'm curious on labour hours, ****ing Chevy has it at 15.7 they need to ****ing remove everything from the top. 8-10 hours just to get to the chain at 139$ an hour they did give a discount if 10% plus a little more.
I got a quote of $1800 in labour and $800 in parts minus 10% off the labour and 20% off all the parts.
I know Chevy isn't Mercedes but they quote putting in a whole new engine at 12 hours lmao!!!
The truck has 167000 km it's like new, last owner defiantly prolonged oil changes and cause hell!

I first thought your C300 needed the timing chain and I was like no way. It's a M272 not an M276.

lol no worries I'm just contributing to the never ending unless threads on this forum as of late. I don't see whats confusing about asking what the cost would be on a Mercedes and if anyone has done this repair on their Mercedes.

Sorry super i didn't mean to sound snappy in that post hahaha.
I know timing chains don't really have a life expectancy, usually if you hear ticking or a slapping it means it's time for some work. It's more of a hear it fix it thing.
I guess I'm just *****ing of how ****ty Chevy is, its definitely not a Mercedes! Lol
