Desperately Need Help with P0017 and P0002
Hey all. I just joined, so I hope I'm in the right sub-category. I have a 2012 C250 that I bought in great condition with low mileage about 2 yrs ago. A few weeks ago it stopped running. It cranks but won't turn over. I ran a diagnostic on it and I got 5 codes....
P0340, P0365, P2610, P0017, P0002. I changed the camshaft positon sensors (intake and exhaust) this got rid of the first 3 codes. But I can't figure out what fix needs to be done to resolve the last 2.
P0017 - camshaft position crankshaft position correlation Bank 1 sensor b
P0002 - fuel volume control regulator circuit range / performance.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

P0002, do you have any fuel pressure?
P0017 looks like the camshaft and crankshaft sensors are out of sync.. Since you did the camshaft sensors, are there any position adjustments on them? If not, then maybe the crankshaft sensor is bad.
Do you have access to a scanner that gives live data.. that would help to isolate it.

Yep mine did too, it started knocking then died just a few seconds later.
Initially my mechanic was afraid there would be engine damage but a leak down test showed the engine was okay. Even so they had to replace all of the timing components since the chain had a lot of slack for a while apparently.
It's not going to be a cheap repair, just to warn you. Probably 6k+ at the dealer, maybe a bit cheaper if you have a mechanic you trust.

Sorry for posting to old thread, I can't send PM to griff2 nyc so would like to ask here. I have same problem with same codes and would like to ask or this problem because of timing chain? And how much it cost you to repair it?
