2013 C300 52K Miles - Battery Load Test Failed
Hello,
I own a 2013 C300. During the recent B service, the battery load test failed. The results are as below. Could someone explain what the different fields (voltage, measured, rated, SOC etc.) mean and whether I should replace it immediately or wait till winter. As of now, I have no issues with the battery. Thank you for your help.

Most batteries will last between 3 to 4 years........... anything after that is just a matter of time before it starts causing issues. With all the electronics now a days it is always recommended to stay ahead and replace it sooner than later.

CCA.......Cold Crank Amps @800 new...your battery under load is about 50% at 99 F (pretty warm where you are!) so will diminish even further as the temp drops ( voltage figures won't be happy at high temps either).
SOC...State of Charge..at 75% with voltage at rest of 12.53 which isn't bad but it's the load numbers that have caused the "Replace Battery" ruling, maybe a bit conservative but MB's don't like failing batteries which when they hit a certain low point may cause electrical SNAFU's, a myriad of warning messages for systems which are intrinsically healthy, just their modules seeing low voltages, even while still getting enough juice to start the car. No real reason not to freshen up the battery now since squeezing the last out of this battery will only cause potential possible problems. My batteries usually lasts about 5 years each with the MB, the usual with my vehicles at least....just got my 3rd one on a 10 year old C300.
