Tire Pressure Question c300sport / c63 amg
Couple questions here.
I have a 2011 c300 sport 4matic. The drivers door tag recommends max cold pressure 30 front 35 rear. Gas door also shows 30 / 35 then says + 5 for 100mph
What should my tire pressure be set at? Most of what I've read here people are around 28 front and 33 rear give or take. What are the positives and negatives for 28/33 vs 30/35?
ALSO
I purchased a set of 2009 c63 AMG wheels which I will put on in April.
My question for these is, do I still use the recommended tire pressure for my OEM wheels (high 20s to low 30s) on the AMG wheels? Or do I use the pressure recommended for the c63 (high 30s to low 40s) which also from reading on here, seems to be up around 38-40. Or do I go somewhere in between?
Any insight would be helpful and much appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks. I did read the same about fuel efficiency so even though mine says 30/35 and yours is 36/41, back in 08 it was 28/33 and because we all have the same chassis, as long as you don't mind sacrificing an mpg or 2, we are perfectly fine to run 28/33. I guess my question is more concerning what I should run when I put the c63 amg wheels on.

2010 C300 4MATIC........ 2011 C63 AMG.............. 2015 CLS400 4MATIC.....
On OEM wheels I did 30/35 on my aftermarket wheels I do 40 all round (but I have 19's)
I would go 38 all around for yours

I have the OEM 18" AMG wheels on my C300 and I run them at 38 front / 41 rear, which is what is on the gas door dor the high speed pressure. I think the car rides just fine and the tire wear is fine as well, although everyone's idea of a good ride is different.

I run 38/41 for my 08 C300 with 18" wheels for my DWS 06's and they run true and even so far. I had issues when I ran below 32psi for front with sidewall flex. After getting my 63 and running them 44/48 I found I enjoy upper psi limit more than lower and have better handling along with tire wear. As always your mmv as per use but you can always run varying psi and see what feels best to you.
Depending on tire and how they are designed can help dictate it, the Conti DWS 06's are a rounder and softer sidewall that sticks out almost stretched looking on our wheels compared to some.
I would rather be able to take a turn at a higher speed than not feel a crack in pavement though, so higher psi might not be what you like.

Interesting discussion, the factory recommendations seem to be all over the map. Hopefully there's a safe range within which each owner can pick the amount of pressure that best suits their driving requirements and preferences.
