90K miles with original brake pads. Unusual?

2014 C-350 V6 purchased new.
I recently had my 90K service and my mechanic told me my brake pads are still OK and replacements aren't necessary yet. The brakes don't squeal and there is no warning indicator observed.on the dash.
I remember "back in the day" when I'd be lucky to get 60K on the original pads, so I'm curious if 90K or more is "unusual" for modern brakepads or am I just lucky?

I had 134K miles on my 2013 C250 before replacing front and rear pads. There was also still about 10K miles left on the old pads and no perceptible lip on any of the rotors. Granted the C250 is probably lighter than the C350 but I, too, was surprised to how long the pads lasted. Replaced with MB pads (despite the dusting).

I'd wager both of you use following distance (less braking) plus avoiding accelerating into a red lite. I would also venture you qualify for lower insurance.

How'm I doing?

Thanks for the information. 134K is impressive. I'd like to go that far on the pads. We'll see.
I try to coast to the light or intersection as long as possible and then apply the brakes when required.

I have a 2013 C250 and just rolled 90k miles. I’m pretty gentle on the brakes, hopefully I can make them last to 134k as well! I thought I was going to have to replace them well before 90k miles based on experience with previous cars.

I am at 71K on my C250 and my "check brake" message came on the other day...no squealing or mushy pedal...so I stopped by and talked to my SA and he checked my brake pads in the service drive with this tool they use and said I still have all kinds of pad life both front and back so maybe a loose wire. The message goes away after hitting okay and does not come back until the next time I start the car so I think he may be correct? Guess I will have them make sure at my next service.

My car is a 09 with 130k and still has 6mm on the pads.
