2013 C300 4MATIC Sport W204 RPMS jump at idle

I need some help. Car has no check engine light or rough idle what so ever. The rpms jump a little at idle.

couple days ago, I started the car and then it died after 2 seconds. Started up again and died again. Started again for third time and stayed on after giving some gas. It has not stopped since. There are 0 codes with no vibrations or any roughness of any sort. HELPP.

battery and alternator were tested, they were good.

Have you confirmed the air cleaner housing is firmly seated on the TB/MAF intake ? Your a lucky guy if the wire clip there is still in place. If your C300 has high mileage, the MAF maybe be dirty also. Couple thoughts....

car has 67k miles and I’ll check on it today. Is the MAF sensor the one connected to the duct that reads temp right under the plastic cover?

Update: I cleaned around the sensor and made sure everything was intact from that to the air box. I noticed it usually does it when the car has already been warmed up.

No CEL pops up, eh ? probably not a sticky idle control valve. A small vacuum leak in a hose can cause an irregularly high idle...take off engine cladding and inspect all those little rubber lines carefully for splits/poor or loose connections. Assume you found the filter housing made a nice snug connection on the throttle body.

I’ll do that later today, thanks. Also, I did notice the engine air filter is dirty. Do you think that could be the culprit by any chance?

Here’s a short video. It still does it til this day but car never dies out. I was thinking spark plugs???? They haven’t been replaced ever. Currently 68,780 miles.
