Question Transmission is switch to Comfort mode when restart engine

Hi guys,
I switched to Sport mode, but when I turned off the key and restarted the car, it back to Comfort mode.
Is there a problem with my car's automatic transmission?
My car is C300 2010 w204

It is perfectly normal, configured from factory. I guess it is because of restrict MPG requirement?

That is really weird? I know my car will remembering the setting it was in before it was turned off. The only thing I can think of is some computer system in the car that turns it back to comfort. This is usually done to keep up with emissions laws. I know my sibling has a GLC that does that too. I think it just an emission thing and can't really be changed. If you do find out, please tag me.

Mine is 2011. In owners manual on page 141, it says "The automatic transmission switches to automatic drive program E each time the engine is started."
I remember someone says there is a way to re-configure it such that it will remember the drive mode before engine is turned off.

Stop hoping. It is 100% normal as stated in the manual. If it really bothers you, you can have Sport mode to be always ON using the Mercedes Diagnostic Tool called Xentry or Vediamo. You need to pay a mechanic with these tools to do it for you.

Yikes, come on a forum over reacting when this has been answered since 2008. It's normal, come on.
