Cluster display is dead
2010 C220 CDi
Out of the blue my dash cluster is dead, no lights, no gauges working, no idea of fuel level or speed, engine starts ok and drives, indicator work but there is no clicking sound, they cancel ok
other stuff works ok, radio, air con etc
Could this just be a fuse?

Fuses usually don't blow for no reason...Fuse 28 in the front driver's side engine fuse box (7.5 amp) is for the instrument cluster on your year C class. If you still have your fuse location sheet you can double check. Past posts suggest the instrument cluster has failed ..loose connector unlikely since it has an active lock. Used clusters are online but don't know if they have to be sync'd with the car. ECU. Maybe someone else can comment on that.

Took it to a mechanic, he checked all fuses and all ok, I did notice that my battery is losing charge, I wonder if I have a failing battery and would this cause it
it was 12.6v yesterday, sat overnight and I checked it this morning and reads 12.3v
Is my battery faulty?
