Part identification help


What is this part called?
2008 C350. I would like to replace the damaged part shown here. Does anyone know what this is called and I if it can be replaced? Thanks so much.

2013 Mercedes GL350 Bluetec (X166) & 2019 Mercedes A220 (W177) & Retired 2008 Mercedes C300 (W204)

The part would be #2 which that website does not sell anymore but you will get the part numbers which you can google after.

It does come off as its held on by clips, start from the roof back and then work your way to the windshield.

It can also be cleaned. Sanded and polished back to original shine. Takes time but can be done

it is the black rubber piece that’s goes along the side of the windshield. That can be sanded and polished? If so, how or what would I use? Thanks!

On my car (2013) it’s actually plastic and not rubber. Remove it carefully from the back. It can be sanded down to the bare material with 600 grit wet sand paper. Then it can be restored to the original finish with solvent based clear acrylic spray. Reinstall after it has dried hard.
