15 Years of Mercedes Excellence
Haven't posted in quite some time but wanted to celebrate 15 years of W204 excellence. This is by far the best car I have ever owned and it continues to amaze me that she needs absolutely nothing other than regular service. In 15 years and 85,000 miles I have a grand total of $4269.95 in maintenance and repair. When I bought this car, I was thinking I would keep it 2 or 3 years and move on but it's just been too good to let go...part of the family now I suppose!

Don't mind those leaks as I did the work myself, so maintenance cost was minimal.

All of our service receipts from purchase > my taking over all maintenance and/or repairs(70k mi ago) are in one folder, but I never thought about adding them up....Thank you
We have a '12 350 4matic Coupe w/ 211,065mi that continues to amaze me also. June will be 11yrs.
I kept it for the day to administer some overdue TLC, and it honestly drives nearly the same as it did when we pulled off the lot in it. The only noticeable difference I feel is the 211,065 on the suspension. I've literally had it over 7000rpm 9-10 times today testing the accelerator pedal sensor work I did this morning. Aside from 3-4 minor glitch type repairs(2 this morning), 1-front driveshaft(failed u-joint), 17 (no bs, 6 weren't her fault) road hazard tire claims, and at least 6 associated wheel repairs lol, it has farrrrr exceeded the expectations I had for it......100k+ miles beyond

Also, always meticulously dealer maintained by the previous 1st owner, who sold it as he bought the wife an EQS. Car came with a stack of service documentation/history. My trustworthy Indy is taking care of the maintenance of the vehicle now.
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
one thing though... ya have to take down the CLEMSON flag........
LSU the real Death Valley - LOL.
Similar for me too, owned my C204 C250 CDI coupe since factory ordered new for almost 12 years now, almost 150k km (93k miles) and still going like new...
Also the best all round daily driver I've ever had and that's after almost 40 years of driving and 17 different car types !
With the W/A/C204 series model if you look after them and do the correct maintenance/servicing and on time they'll have a very long life span issue free, and not only mechanically wise but interior as well, extremely solid, seats still look new all functions work, zero issues.
And last but not least the 204 series is IMHO one of the best designs MB has ever done, it still looks modern/contemporary and is aging well (except the interior though). My C205 coupe is the opposite and not looking the best as the years go by...Plan on replacing it with a CLE coupe when they come out BUT keeping the C204
My new wife inherited the turbo 4 with all the bells and whistles - - - she loves it (a curb rash epidemic did not engender wedded bliss..............but I still faithfully fill it with Chevron
Supreme every now and then.)
Prior to marriage, we did drive it to AZ and return - averaging 35 MPG. The drive was for last respects to a shipmate (another radar officer) - the 35 MPG was the 850 round trip's only positive...........
We sincerely hope the camshaft follower issues et al will not happen until much later.
all the best,

Camshaft adjusters go >200k miles on some. There’s just no symptoms of impending failure.

I can see on my wife’s 2018 GLC 300 that the workmanship (especially on the interior) is no longer what it used to be!
