Hi, I saw your tank was not full, and it cut out around a corner.
-Have you determined if it always happenes around corners, left or right-?
-Does it happenes with tank less than 1/4 full-?

@alynch
Workshop called today, they think its Front SAM issues, a very expensive part. and not 100% Guarantee fix.

With several different unrelated electrical codes, the front SAM would be one of the common denominators. I think it's a logical path. I have read of corrosion problems on the underside of the SAM so I would ask the shop to keep the old SAM and you can see if this is the culprit.
Does the SAM needs any coding or it's a direct replacement? I just googled and saw few used SAM on ebay for very reasonable price.
@bm2amb
How much did the shop quote for? I am sure they are going to get a brand new one.

I’m gonna stick my nose in here.
I had never heard of a pre-fuse bloc failure until seeing 2 on this forum in the last year or so. The pre-fuse bloc provides power to both SAMs. Before replacing the SAM, it might be worth pulling the pre-fuse bloc and checking the fuses. Mercedes does not sell individual fuses if you find any open (blown), and the pre-fuse box is also expensive. But inexpensive replacement fuses are available online or from electronics stores.
