w204 Headlamp HELP NEEDED

Hello all, new around here so if this has already been answered my apologies! My front left headlight is having some issues. I am not sure if this is an LED that would require an entirely new housing or if its just a simple bulb fix(circled in photo 1 and out in photo 2). I checked MBparts and found this
(photo 3) can anyone tell me what bulb it is that needs to be swapped or let me know if I need a new full unit. Thanks in advance! here is my VIN incase there are compatibility concerns WDDGF56X68R035248 Thanks in advance!

It's a bulb. W5W (501) from your VIN
Why can you not just pull it out and check ?

It looks like I have the same headlights as you. The Mercedes brand bulbs for those are expensive so i just used regular type bulbs. The original Mercedes are blue, so if you use just regular bulbs they are a little brighter. I replaced with 2825LL (Long Life). They are fairly easy to replace, just look in the back and you will see the covers to access the bulbs. Theres 2 bulbs in each headlight.

Heres the sheet I used to figure out the exact bulbs to replace.

FCP has them fairly cheap i guess.

Really flexible, short, thin fingers help..not the easiest for me. I used curved forceps to grab the base of these 194's as I call them. The thinnest of wiring is used here, prone to insulation heat deterioration, so pulling the bulb holder with any part of the wiring is a real bad idea.. Some LED's will pop a "parking light out" message, some not....them saying it has a resistor or "No warning Light" description is no guarantee unless top tier Supplier used, IMHO.

It is a pain reaching in there.

I remove the plastic cover to make it easier. I dont think you really have to. Pull up the pin in the plastic rivet and the cover pulls right up.

Feel around in the back for the plastic cover.

Theres the cover. Turn it counter clockwise to remove it.

Theres the bulb/harness. Think i used needle nose to remove/install them. Careful of the wires.

"...wires connected to bulb holder/socket...put new bulb in "socket"....to clean up a bit your concept.. Cheers.

Been awhile since I did mine so went out to the car to check.

Use needle nose and grab the harness. You will have to rotate it to be able to pull it out. I didnt pull it out here because it really is a pain in the ***** to do. Theres limited room and the needle nose keep slipping off and pinch the wires. Be very careful.

Helps to look down where the plastic panel above the headlight was removed. Trying to look in through the back is a pain too.

I think the harness looks similar to this. has notches that need to be rotated to pull it out. Then just pull the bulb from the harness, replace, then good luck reinstalling it. Take your time and use a good set of needle nose.
