OIL CHANGE W204 2009 C300
Just looking for some recommendations, which type of oil do you use?
I'm looking at using GULF 5W40 this next service.
Does AMSoil and Liqui Moly perform well on the M272?

One of our better Super Moderators on this Forum supplied this list of approved oils for the m272 V6. Conservatively speaking, if oil not "approved list worthy", not recommended...but then the debate over decent oils that their Manufacturers didn't feel like running through MB's accreditation process will pop up. Personally I only saw Gulf oil products when I worked in Europe but may be available here in USA for all I know. My personal choice for my 2009 C300 Sport 4Matic has been what the the sticker on my engine front cover recommends..Mobil One Synthetic, in my case 0W-40 Euro.

I use pennzoil platinum https://www.walmart.com/ip/Pennzoil-...uart/495194903
It's 229.51 certified and doesn't break the bank like liquimolly, seems to keep the om642 engine very clean (for a diesel)

I use Mobil1 0w40. Its in stock everywhere locally and its not expensive, plus I can easily return the old used oil. I go with the 0w40 because winters are cold here. Oil change with filter comes out to around $60.
