actually i've seen a bunch fo those covered up new c-class around here in my home town (redondo beach, ca) sometimes i see them in 2's. problem is i never have my camera with me! argghhhhhh. they are much bigger than the current c-class, look 'beefier' but then again it could be all the black covers. now i have my camera with me at all times, just in case.

Don't get too anxious about the arrival date of the W204 here in the US. Just remember that some new models in the past haven't appeared until fall. I hope it's March but don't make any plans until someone can tell us just when the US models will appear.
I have been wondering if MB will one of these days go back to the system they used to have some years ago where they deliver European models for up to a year before starting US deliveries. With MB's great concern about
getting top quality ratings in the US they might want to be sure any new model is debugged before bringing them here.
A recent case in point is that they were delivering the new S Class for European customers when I was at the factory last September. They are still not delivering the W212's here.
Be patient.

what they need to do is standardise the model names. My C230 should be a C250. Labelling some cars in the line according to displacement but not others is rather assinine.

Something to keep in mind about all of these "first look" vehicles is that sometimes they are production trials vehicles that will never find thier way into the hands of a customer. They are used for several different things, and a lot of time they are used for training, but are not final spec. vehicles. So, it's not surprising that they aren't perfect. Hold your judgements until you see a production vehicle. Not to say that they are perfect, but don't judge the model line on a car that may be destined to be crushed one day.....

New grill
I certainly hope they will use that new grill from the spy pics because I really like the shape. It is more agressive and beefy looking. I have always said the mercedes either needed to get a more streamlined, sporty, aerodynamic front or a larger more agressive front instead of a mix of both. The mix of both types makes the car look tame and timid with it's small kind of stubby front end. BMW has it down pat with the large agressive fornt ends and I think M-B is starting to notice from their success.
