And if that ugly BMW meets Stratus/Breeze tail wasn't enough...the damn thing even looks like the ugly 7 series on the inside. MB styling is farked, unless there's some serious home runs coming that we don't know about yet.

FRANKFURT (AFX) - DaimlerChrysler AG is cutting back the output of Mercedes-Benz C-Class cars in the main production facility in Sindelfingen from January, Handelsblatt said, citing a company spokesman.
It said the spokesman declined to give any reasons for the decision.
The report added that although it is normal for a car to post declining sales towards the end of a 7-year life cycle, sales of the C-Class have fallen more steeply than expected. A new C-Class will be launched in two years.
In the first ten months of this year, C-Class sales have declined by 13 pct to 335,600 units.

You know what would be cool on the Black S class pic above if the black strips above and below the clear tail brake lights if they you could type messages like STOP or tell the person behind you to turn off there brights, or tell the person behind to gett off your butt and go around you. Ofcourse this would be done by the computer in ther car with voice command. It could even be linked to your navigation system telling the person that you will be exiting in 1/2 mile for example.

I think the new C looks quite nice. And i'm sure the rear will look a little better than the photo IMO. The interior also looks nice.
People just need to get use to the new look, just like the new S. Before the new S came out publicly, people said it's ugly, now that it's out, people are starting to like it. Just wait and see, i'm sure MB will do a nice job.
Oh, btw, i just saw the new S today in Cape Town,SA. It sure looks good.

I like the new C-Class and can't wait til 07. Yes I know that the new c-class looks a little like the new BMW, Acura TL, Toyota Avalon and new S-class design. But that is the new direction/future of the luxury cars. At least I have some time to save money for the purchase.
