Abs problem

Hi, I have recently join the forum.
i have recently bought a c class C350 and having trouble with ABS, I used obd to find which sensor was putting ABS light on. Changed and reset but still coming on 🤷
I would appreciate any help as it’s getting annoying now. Thanks

1. Get a Mercedes-specific scanner, such as the LAUNCH Creader Elite 2.0 BENZ. Generic OBD scanners are almost worthless when it comes to Mercedes.
2. If you have a proper scanner, or when you get one, scan for codes in the ABS controller. Your problem may be with the controller and not wheel sensors.
3. Your problem may also be with the "tone ring" on the wheel hub. I assume the error is with the same wheel as before changing the ABS sensor.

Yes it’s saying left rear wheels. Was also told it says Sam unit not getting a signal. My next step was to replace the sensor ring

Not sure if the tone ring is individually replaceable or if you have to replace the entire wheel hub. I would try more detailed diagnosis before throwing parts at it. This is where XENTRY and @BenzNinja come into play. XENTRY will walk you through testing each component. It's more than just a scanner. BenzNinja rents equipment if you don't want to make the investment now. If you are going to be a Mercedes owner and try to save money DIY, you will eventually get XENTRY.

I have looked into it and seems the ring is replaceable separately and fairly cheap. I do all work myself, I have for a number of years now. But I am fairly new to Mercedes. So any advice is much thank you

I have found that Mercedes are generally easier to work on compared to other brands, certainly easier than VW/Audi or Saab. Just do your research first.

I’m pretty handy with mechanical side but electrical side not so much. So I’d rather ask advice from people that know better before I start. Everything is working fine brakes are amazing just the light is annoying me and rather get it sorted to be honest
