W204 kickdown switch

I have a 13 c350 and every once in a while when I hit the kickdown switch it will basically shut down the car, it throws up a tpms and run flat warning and turns off traction and stability but also give me zero throttle. I then need to proceed to park the car turn it off then back on and it will work again. I don’t know what could be causing this issue and I’ve only encountered this problem in the winter when I have the oem amg rims on the car, with no tpms sensors in them. But have never had the problem when I’m running my summers which are niche rims also with no tpms. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Get the car scanned with a Mercedes specific scanner -- not some generic OBD scanner. Why did you delete the TPMS? That could really be messing things up. Lots of crazy behavior when it is cold out.

Your accelerator pedal may be failing when it's really cold (or maybe just failing). They are simple to replace. One 10mm nut. I had to replace the one on my 2004 SL500 when I had it. I may have replaced the one on my C350 as well; just don't remember.

This is a LIMP MODE caused by... don't delay: scan your chassis to read faults with a good MB scanner.

It's NOT standard ESP anti-skid procedure to require engine off resets.

There's an underlying condition developing... could be low fuel pressure, low voltage???

I never deleted the tpms it came like that, and with these cars the tpms doesn’t measure the actual tire pressure, it just detects when the tire is flat.

I’m surprised your car passes the safety inspection. Cars in the US since 2008 require TPMS as standard equipment. And both my Mercedes measure the exact pressure as verified with a tire pressure gauge.

legacy TPMS style

more reliable discount versions compute wheel speed differences gathered from the solderless ESP/ABS wheel sensors.

Low inflation is monitored without measuring pressure.
