W204 Upgraded Becker Module Installation (Apple Carplay)
(For reference, I've got a 2013 W204 with the NTG4.5 system)
I bought my module off Aliexpress and it costed me right about $100.
The instructions for installing the module were very short, and did not cover any troubleshooting.
Installation (Car can be both on and off while installing):
- Remove your original becker module (Found in your glovebox).
- Install new module.
- Press NAVI to access the setup screen, and make sure the module is working.
- Press DISC to go back to audio screen.
- Go to bluetooth.
- Do not hit "Search For BT Audio Device" (This way of connecting will always fail).
- Rather hit "Connect Via BT Audio Device".
- You will be promted with a screen that says "Ready for bluetooth connection. You can start searching for MB Bluetooth".
- The becker module will ask to connect when this screen is open.
- Wait for the becker module to request a connection (This usually takes 10-20 seconds).
- After the module has connected to the car's bluetooth, you may go back to the setup screen by hitting "NAVI".
- Here, you will connect to the module from your phone via bluetooth/Apple Carplay.
- The module will usually be called "CAR-BT-XXXX".
- After connecting to the module, it will take you to your Apple Carplay screen.
The only point of critisim on this module so far is a very minor one:
You do have the option of installing a reversing camera with this module, but if you do not have one (like myself) the screen will go black when the gear lever hits/goes past reverse. Though it only goes black for a split second.
Let me know if you have any questions, maybe I'll be able to help out!

Also, can you provide a link to the module you got?
Lastly, the font color for what you wrote after the bullets is nearly invisible on a light background. Can you set the font color to black?
Thanks, this looks like an awesome upgrade.
This is the module I bought: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005...32bcf19cLm4Smh
Here is an attatched picture of what the module looks like, its found at the very top of your glovebox.
I have the EU version of the Becker map pilot module installed and loaded with the outdated 2016 NA map. But as a solid Android user, I'm sol. Neeways, Google or Waze maps work well for my needs.

You do get these modules for Android Auto too, definitely a good upgrade to modernize the infotainment screen while keeping it OEM!

I have a 2008 C350 NTG4.0 system and am having a very difficult time finding a Cable or Connector to interface w/ the car's 18 pin male that had connected to an iPod box behind the glovebox.
