Maybe I misunderstood. What bulbs do you have in now, HID or regular halogen bulbs?
I thought you meant you have HID bulbs and they are no longer bright so wanted inexpensive replacement HID bulbs.
If you have regular Halogen bulbs in now and want brighter I would say go with an HID kit.
I have the Innovited Can-Bus 35 watt kit installed in my W204 and it works great. I did have to replace one of rhe ballasts after 4yrs though. For Bulbs I went with Morrimoto H7-B bulbs. Its all plug n play, can just unplug everything and put the regular halogen bulbs back in if I wanted to.
Yes I have hid bulbs at the moment, just looking to replace the dim hids for newer brighter ones wasn’t sure if hid bulbs needed to be canbus too was the reason for asking if they are just plug and play or if I’ll need a decoder
The HID bulbs should just be plug-n-play, no coding or special steps.
I was looking around for the part #'s and looks like its Mercedes 000000004248. D1S 35watt.
The Genuine Mercedes look expensive. Can find the D1S Philips cheaper and they seem to be the same ones Mercedes uses. You can confirm this looking at your current bulb.
