0-60?
Any guesses on what the C400 will take to go from 0-60?
My guess would be under 5 seconds but not quicker than the CLA45.

i bet it's in the 5 to 5.5 second range personally.
what will it cost?? the engine in this model is an interesting "middle ground"...not a v8 turbo, not a v6 naturally aspirated, not a 4 cylinder turbo, but something with some real muscle and not an absolute gas guzzler per-se.
(i'm assuming that i'm correct in that the c400 has a v6 twin turbo, from what i've read)
current c350 is 42k starting, probably 45 or 46k once you get what you want. so i'm thinking the new c400 will start at around 44k??
also, the c300 starting price is an interesting question..current c250's start at about 36k, but the new c300 will have a 4 cylinder turbo just like the c250, but with more power. the current c300 has a v6 non turbo and starts at pretty much 40k.
soooo...i guess we'll find out at the auto show in a couple of weeks

The C400 is a V6 twin turbo. In the E400 Coupe 0~60 acceleration times have varied from 4.7-5.2 secs in the reviews to date.
This engine is tuned for frugality rather than outright power. Something we are going to have to get used to.
In some playing around with a friend's Boxster S & an E400 Cabrio the E400 almost keeps up so it's no slouch.
The C400 should return some nice performance.

Can't wait to see this engine tuned, MBZ hasn't had a decently powerful 6 cyl. engine since the C32.

I wish the sport mode would make it re-tune for a true performance mode!

Found this video on YouTube:
Legit? 4.6 0-60?
And does anyone know if the US models will have this "sport plus" mode?
Thanks in advance!

Hasn't this already been announced? I thought it came in at 5.0 seconds for the 0 to 60 in the C400, then the C300 would be like 6.6?

If I'm not mistaken, i think the sport plus mode is a suspension mode for the airmatic.
If that's correct, then you wouldn't necessarily get such a mode with standard steel spring suspension.

For the W205 Sport+ now changes Airmatic, steering, and throttle. BMW has been doing this for years and it now seems that MB is playing catch up.
