Sorry to bring an old thread back from dead but I'm curious to know, first; what exactly did you installed, your C450 should've come with the basic 3 color ambient light and second; did you get it to work? Thanks!

 

Don't be sorry at all, this is what forums are for.. not to mention my issue was never resolved. To answer your question, no my C450 never came installed with ambient lighting, I found out that they dont have that option for the 2016 year? Anyways, I paid nearly around $400 for the lighting kit and the install and even though my install guy is the best in town and is good friends with the manager at mercedes benz, after two tries at mercedes, they never could find out out to turn them on from the cars computer. They got close, but the computer system asked for an option code and they tried all of them but none of them worked.
So i guess i'm stuck with a lightless C450

 

Do you have the COMAND system? I know most aftermarket sellers can include an OBD2 that unlocks the ambient light setting for non-COMAND units.

 

Yes I have the Comand system. It's a 2016 C450.

Mercedes Benz couldn't even figure it out. So frustrating! If anyone here knows something though, please share i would love to get them turned on!
