Experience was very good,
Do you know when that should go into effect? Will the summer sales event in June help counteract the loss of discount?

The Internet Manager said they (MBUSA) already pulled money. Hopefully the Summer event will bring back some of the money. The accolades and good press (for the most part - excluding forums) is good, so they are levering that.

So no chance right now at end of month to get something like $8K-$9K off MSRP here in SoCal?

It doesn't hurt to try, just get it in writing, take to another dealer and see if they can beat it, repeat this process until you are happy with the discount. That is what I did.

I see people get 10-15% discounts on new C300s all over the Forum but do not see similar discounts when I shop around here in Seattle. Has anyone been able to get a discount of more than $3-4K around here and if so from which dealer ?

Thanks guys.

What is the length of your lease? I hate to say it but on first glance your deal does not look good at all! The MSRP on my car was $49,500, 36 month lease, zero down, my payment is $460 including tax and prepaid maintenance.

Im pretty sure it's like 28months... Past few years, I have switched cars rather quick. BUT this is the LOWEST lease payment I have ever had, compared to my old: CLK, GLK, & SLK! Lol.

Who knows...maybe I got screwed on my deal(?) I am happy with the price.

Your car isn't fully loaded at that price, it should be closer to 55k for that.

I didn't say it was "fully loaded"... I have all the essentials and a few upgrades that I paraphrase as "bells & whistles". Sorry if that was not clear.

I have the navigation, maintenance, etc. which is not listed on the sticker.

It has the rear camera, heated seats, premium pkg sound, etc... really nice.

The come very well equipped, premium pkg adds a lot as well, nav SD is great. I agree, that is a lot of bells and whistles

What was your MSRP? Do you think $7500 off for a car with MSRP around $44K is good enough deal right now? I tried to push for $8500 off but they declined.

Our numbers are pretty close to each other. My car MSRP is 53,735 with a selling price of 47K however, mine is an order and should arrive early June. What dealership did you buy from?

MB of Smithtown. Mine was also an order but they were surprisingly able to find the exact car at another dealership out of state.

Looks the dealer that is giving the $7500 discount is using inflated MF of 0.00166 (instead of 0.00136) and higher bank fee of $1095 (instead of $795). I'm tempted to try to use their discount and match at another dealer who is using base MF and $795 bank fee. Anyone in the SoCal that already did your deals used the higher MF or bank fee? Or were they standard base rates? I'd like to close on this deal, but not very happy with the lease numbers.

I bought mine.
[custom order since I had a lot of specifications without leather]
retail price about 59000USD, got about 10,000USD off overall, (that includes a couple of items which became freebies later)

Update: I went to another dealer to see if they would match the $7500 discount and offer the base MF and bank fee. They matched the $7500 discount, but increased the MF to 0.00286. I said no and walked out. Later got a call from them that they would do base MF and bank fee, but discount would only be $6300 now. So they payments did come down from the $486 which they had with the $7500 discount, but still not where I wanted it. I'd like to get close to that $7500 discount and use base MF and bank fee. I'm not sure if the $6300 discount is good right now since I've been reading those getting $8K-$9K easily the past month. One thing of note is that my MSRP is around $44K. But even then I've seen people get $8300 off a $45.9K car. Just not happy with how they are structuring this deal by lowering one and increasing the other.

Any advice on what I should do here? Tomorrow is last day of month and I'd like to close the deal. Would I have some more leveraging power then to try to get them to come a bit down on the price while keeping the base MF?

sticker $46,380, purchase price $39,998, less $10,000 trade for a 2007 E350 that was appraised at $8700 elsewhere. That's 13.76% or 16.56% off, depending how you figure it.....pretty darn good IMHO.
