Thank you so much! You just saved me $2700 (5.5% below MSRP). I tried everything, but down here, no one discounts the new C-Class! Now I might go for the C400!

I believe you should currently get an additional $2,000 discount although that discount can keep changing.

I really don't understand exactly how it works. I talked to the USAA guy, and he said the dealer would add $2000 to dealer cost, and then use the $2000 incentive to bring the price back down to dealer cost. But my savings certificate from USAA says $2700 off MSRP. I need to get some more clarification.

2015 C220 AMG Line Bluetech.
Price rise?

Just got an EM from my broker, in the UK. Seems MB are increasing prices in UK from Monday (13th Oct) - no details on how much and I cannot find any other sources to verify.

Good deal though, on a C220 AMG line, with Premium Plus, 19s, Airmatic, Intelligent Lighting and Privacy in Polar White. List is £39,449, with a discount of £6311, so costing me £33138 - which is 16% off Retail. That price including taxes, MB Delivery and delivery to home.

Just need to persuade my wife that it's too good a deal to turn down......

Anyone else heard about this price rise?

IIRC the Atlanta area seemed to have good discounts for the southeast region.

Local dealer here in Los Angeles is already offering $3000 below invoice on C300s. While it is ultra-competitive here, I can't imagine that other large metro markets along the east coast would be that much less competitive.

Just gave my autograph to the same dealer that Capt Slo is getting his car from - 10% off for a C400 ~5.8K discount.

We are picky about our configurations, but the dealer found one out of state and did a trade.

Am I reading this wrong? $3000 under invoice or under MSRP ? Which dealer is this?

Local dealer here in Los Angeles has them all "TruePrice" marked at between $5k - $6k off MSRP.... I believe they do stick to their true price being their bottom line though.... but if that is the price on the tag hanging from the mirror I still want it for cheaper
Test drove the C400 today and really liked it.

Pretty much any Los Angeles dealer will price-match. I PM'd you the two that I usually use that gave me the quote, but you should be able to get the price from your nearest dealer.

The current customer certificate on MY15 C-Class is $1500. A sales rep explained that around here, they are given the discretion to apply it twice, for a total of $3000. While there's no way to confirm the veracity of his assertion, the various quotes I've seen from LA dealers for all models in the past year or so have all supported this ability to double incentives. It may not apply to other lower volume markets/dealership, but fortunately for us it seems to be the case here.

The base MSRP is $41325 with invoice of $38497, and with dealers willing to dig a bit into their holdback around here, you should be able to get at least $6k off MSRP, and more for loaded vehicles with more options (well equipped @ $50k can be had for $43.5k).

Since you ran the CarCostCanada report, what was the dealer markup that it offered?

I understand with dealer stocks rising there's some very large discounts on already made vehicles. What's best percentage discount for orders you all are finding? (Not dealer trades/in-stock and not including fleet discounts)

Also hpilot, I just sent you PM

Well, just pulled the trigger this morning. It took a lot of calls and homework. Found 2 Florida dealers willing to deal, and called on most all of them. One with less hassle and more responsive salesman. Most dealers offering a few hundred off in Florida orders and want their own inventory moving.

Are there any particular LA area dealers that are good to work with -- financially and logistically?

Care to share the Colorado dealer? I just sold my GL550 yesterday and need a car ASAP!

You can also PM me if that's better.

They have me over 8% off msrp, of either custom order AWD (December delivery) or RWD (TBD delivery, likely February), not an in-stock or dealer trade which are discounted more. Let me know if anyone wants contact info for my rep if buying in Florida. Very pleased with them.

Does anyone know what tourist price means on the pricing list? I bought a C300 in Canada and it had MSRP and Tourist price. Just curious if that was the cost price
